To the World Cup Runner-up

Hello all! The european vacation was nearly as exciting as the movie classic. Of course we couldn't push over stonehenge, but still is humbling to see something nearly 5000 years old. Our first five days were spent in London, meeting Big Ben, watching Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesties Theatre, and much more. Then we traveled across the country side to see stonehenge, and then castles over in Wales. After a short stay in Newquay, we befriended regular English folk who took us into their home of Plymouth for lots of tea-time, scones, crumpets, bangers, and mash. They showed us around town, including the mayflower steps. Then we caught a ferry out of the same harbor as our pilgrim brethren, only we ended up in France, for a short two day stay, giving into the Da'vinci Code mania and seeing Mona, and those weird double pyramid thing, that is basically in the middle of a shopping mall of the Louvre. Next we traveled back to England to attend the Royal Air Force Summer Ball, where there were grown men of high rank in uniform or tuxes playing Dodgems, we of course taught them the american version of Bumper Cars which is a lot more fun. Next we scurried over to Rome for the Colliseum, Sistene Chapel, and the Vatican City. We then began our rough journey home, which took over 24 hours. I must say we were incredibly blessed on this trip, we made lots of friends and saw lots of small town things that most people never get to experience. Needless to say, it is great to be home.
